Cookbooks from the 1950's Part II

The Shaker Cook Book, Not By Bread Alone, published in 1953.






The New Fannie Farmer Boston Cooking School Cook Book, published in 1954. A newer and revised edition from my 1937 copy.

The Betty Furness Westinghouse Cookbook, published in 1954. Betty was also an actress and the Special Assistant for Consumer Affairs during Lyndon B. Johnson's administration.

The Family Circle Dessert and Fruit Cookbook, published in 1954. Book has a few over saturated color photos commonly found in cookbooks from this era.

Mary Dahnke's Salad Book, published in 1954. The book contains 80 pages of molded (or congealed as we say here in GA) salad recipes, the largest chapter in the book.





Super Market Cook Book - Silver Jubilee 1930-1955. The book is dedicated to Mamie Dowd Eisenhower the Housewife of America's No. 1 Household.

Queen of Hearts Cook Book, published in 1955.

The Duncan Hines Dessert Book, published in 1955. Book contains 500 delightful recipes chosen by America's best-known authority on good eating.
