Amy Vanderbilt's Complete Cook Book, published in 1961. In addition to being an authority on etiquette, Amy published this cookbook with drawings by Andrew (Andy) Warhol.

The Modern Family Cook Book - New Revised Edition, published in 1960.

General Foods Kitchens All About Home Baking, published in 1960. Filled with great vintage illustrations.

Simple Oriental Cookery, published in 1960 by Peter Pauper Press.


Culinary Arts Institute Encyclopedic Cookbook - New Revised Edition published in 1962. Large book with 974 pages of recipes.

General Foods Kitchens Frozen Foods Cookbook - Modern Living with Frozen Foods, published in 1962.

A World of Good Cooking or How to Fit Five Continents into an American Kitchen, published in 1962.

The Complete Round-the World Cookbook, published in 1962 (original printing was in 1958). Recipes were gathered by Pan American Airways from the 81 countries they serve. My grandmother worked in the Pan Am flight kitchen in Hawaii for many years.

Joy of Cooking, published in 1964.

Margaret Mitchell's Mealtime Magic Cookbook, published in 1964. Margaret was the director of Home Economics at the Wear-Ever Aluminum and Alcoa Wrap Kitchens, not be confused with the author of "Gone with the Wind" . This Margaret also wrote the ubiquitous Cutco cookbooks, found at EVERY thrift store.
