New Purchases - Florida Represent!

An American Celebration - Recipes and Traditions of Celebration, Florida, published in 2003.  Recipes were compiled from residents of the the town, plus a few from restaurants in the area.  Several  Florida political figures also submitted recipes along with a former president with strong ties to Florida. Watercolors depicting homes and scenes of the town are scattered throughout the pages. Most of the introductions to each chapter tout the "community" feel of the town and give off a Stepford  Wife-ish vibe.

Worth Tasting - A Culinary Tour Through the Architecture of the Palm Beaches, published in 2007. Another book I bought based on the cover (it also didn't hurt that it was part of a FOL bag sale and only ended costing 40 cents!). Recipes were collected by the Junior League of Palm Beach, Florida and reflect a coastal feel. There is a section on cocktails that features local seafood as well. The book is very elegant, printed on thick glossy stock and features photos of Palm Beach landmarks.
