How to Bake, published in 1995.  Almost 500 pages of recipes for all baked goods - Cakes, Cookies, Pie/Tarts, Breads & Muffins. Lots of helpful tips, illustrations and a few photos. Very comprehensive guide for the novice baker and beyond. The best part - it was only 50 cents!

The Cake Mix Doctor, published in 1999. Over 150 cake recipes that started with a box mix. The intro pages to the book showcases photos of the 150+ finished cakes, making it a bit easier to choose a recipe. I love to bake from scratch, but will use a box mix in a pinch. Can't wait to try a few recipes!
