Rainy Day Thrifting

I stopped at several yard sales this morning, but found no books so I headed to a GW on the other side of town and bought the following:

The Southwest Georgia Cookbook, published in 1971. A reprint of a 1924 cookbook complied by the Ladies of St. Paul's Church in Albany, Georgia. The book contains selected recipes of proven merit selected by the ladies of the church over a one year period in 1924.

The Callaway Cookbook, published in 2002 (1st printing in 1992 was a limited edition). The recipes were contributed by the Callaway family who own Callaway Plantation in Washington, Georgia to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the family arriving in Wilkes County.
