The Secret of the Tender Pie - America's Grandmothers Share Their Favorite Recipes, published in 1997.  A treasury of recipes from grandmothers all over the United States, most can be described as good old-fashioned comfort food. Each recipe is accompanied by a short bio and photo of the contributor. The book was given to the former owner Bubba, by Jon & Lauren in 1999.

To Love Honor & Cherish - A Compendium of Treasured Recipes, published in 1994 (?). The author compiled recipes from family and friends to create a wedding present for her son and daughter-in-law in 1994 and later self-published the book. According to a 2012 article, she has sold 350 out of 1,000 copies to family and friends. I was curious as as to how the book made it's way to Athens, Georgia which was quickly answered when I read the introduction. The author's father founded the Geography & Geology department at UGA!
